Joe Taylor, appointed Town Manager of
Orange Park effective December 1, 2025, brings more than 20 years of business
experience and entrepreneurship before his municipal government career.
Originally from the Midwest, Joe earned a Bachelor's degree in Political
Science from the University of Iowa and a Master's Degree in Public
Administration from Upper Iowa University. Joe's unique background combines
private sector insight with extensive local government expertise. Joe practices an approachable, adaptive leadership style and values building strong
relationships with residents, staff, elected officials, and partner agencies to
strengthen the community. Joe is committed to transparent, collaborative, and
accessible governance, serving with integrity and dedication to meet the
diverse needs of Orange Park’s citizens.
At home, Joe enjoys life with his wife of
20 years and their three children—a son, two daughters, and their two
dogs, Mabel, a Great Dane, and Creed, a Vizsla. Joe shares many adventures
with his family, including RV trips, exploring new places to dine, and
supporting their children’s interests in sports and the arts. In his free time,
Joe loves cooking family meals and coaching youth sports, especially baseball,
a sport close to his heart.
Joe believes city government should be both
effective and accessible, and he strives daily to serve with integrity, warmth,
and dedication.
