Private Providers

Pursuant to Chapter 553.791 of Florida Statutes, Contractors may utilize Private Providers to perform plan review and/or inspections in lieu of the Building Department’s services. All required documentation must be submitted to the Building Department here prior to permit issuance.

Please see below for the Private Provider Requirements, Notice to Building Official (NTBO), and Plan Compliance Affidavit.
Private Providers are responsible for keeping registration records current.

Inspection Scheduling

Private Provider inspections are not to be scheduled through our online portal. An email notice may be sent here. All inspection reports, Certificate of Compliance, and Provider inquiries shall also be remitted here. Inspection requests must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Inspection results shall be submitted within 48 hours via email.

For projects requiring multiple inspections, all Preliminary, Rough, and Final Inspections may be submitted with the Certificate of Compliance at the end of the project. If the recorded date of any inspection included in the final report is more than 180 calendar days from the issuance date or last passed inspection, a repurchase of the permit will be required prior to any permit finalization actions.

Note: For New Single-Family Residences and Non-Residential Construction, there are certain Town requirements that must be met prior to permit finalization and Certificate of Occupancy and or Certificate of Completion issuance.
