Ms. Connie Thomas was sworn in to a three-year term in Seat 4 on the Orange Park Town Council on May 17, 2016.Connie returned to Orange Park in 2010 after many years in Fayetteville, Georgia where she was active in community environmental protection. She served as Board Chairman of the South Fulton and Fayette Community Task Force and the Environmental Institute of Georgia and brings many years of public service. She is also a founding member of Citizens for a Greater Orange Park, a resident group advocating a dynamic and inclusive community vision for the town.
A graduate of Orange Park High School, Connie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker of 25 years with a present practice at Grace House Counseling. Connie also attended Newberry College for Undergrad and the University of Georgia for graduate school. She is a member of Cross Road Lutheran Church and has been a leader in the Lutheran Church over the past 30 years serving as Congregational President.
Connie’s husband, Tony Steve, also a native of Orange Park, is a music professor at Jacksonville University and a professional percussionist. With grown children, Connie and Tony are enjoying their elderly pets and long morning walks among the beautiful trees and water vistas of Orange Park.
