Garbage / Yard Waste / Recycling
Recycling pick up is currently once a week in your area. Residents/businesses who elect to deliver recyclable items to the Public Works Complex are urged to do so, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
We accept scrap metal (under 40 lbs), automotive batteries and used motor oil at the Public Works Complex only.
All recycle items are to be placed at curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your designated pick up day.
The following information will help you in your recycling efforts. The Town of Orange Park will only accept the following items for recycling:
Paper Products
Newspapers with inserts; clean, dry.
Cardboard, clean, dry, must be flattened. Food containers and pressboard are acceptable.
Office paper; clean, dry. No carbon or carbonless papers.
Mixed paper; clean, dry. Junk mail, catalogs, magazines and windowed envelopes.
Rigid Containers
Steel (tin) Cans; completely empty. Labels OK. Lids OK, but not preferred.
Aluminum beverage cans; completely empty. Aluminum foil OK if clean.
Soda Bottles; completely empty, all sizes. Labels OK. No tops. No other shapes accepted other than soda bottle form.
Milk jugs/Water bottles; completely empty, 1/2 gal., 1 gal., and 2 1/2 gal., sizes OK. No tops. Labels OK. No colored or other shapes accepted.
Glass Containers; completely empty, clear, green and brown colors. Labels OK. No tops or lids. No other types of glass accepted.
Items Not Collected
We cannot accept Styrofoam containers, plastic food utensils, plastic bags, tires, chemicals, paints, or hazardous waste. These items must be taken to the Clay County Landfill for disposal.
