Mayor Morgan was elected as an Orange Park Councilman to Seat 3 in 2002 and was reelected in 2005 and again in 2008. He served as Mayor in 2006 and 2011 and will complete his term in office in March of 2012. His favorite part about being on the Town Council is being a part of preserving our wonderful Town.
Mayor Morgan has lived all over the United States including California, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Texas. He has called Orange Park home since 1986. Mayor Morgan attended the University of Texas and operates Pete Morgan & Son Builders. Mayor Morgan is a U.S Army veteran serving from 1968 to 1969 in Vietnam.
Councilman Morgan is an outdoorsman and has hiked along the Appalachian Trail numerous times. He and his wife Martha, a teacher at St. Johns Country Day School, have two sons and four grandchildren and enjoy spending time in the Georgia mountains.
